I originally wrote this how to be a successful network
marketer article years ago, and honestly I believe a lot
things have changed now.
I believe in network marketing if you don't provide your team
value in more ways than just motivation, then I believe you're
letting them down and you're not giving them a REAL chance to
succeed.
Also, if you don't retail your company's products,
YOU'RE
NOT a legitimate network marketer. With all the
hype about "building a downline", the true essence of network
marketing is missed and you're not bringing true value to "end
customers".
Matter of fact

Most network marketers treat their mlm business like a pyramid
scheme, and most companies are really pyramid schemes
disguised as network marketing companies. You MUST
overcome this bad habit if you want to really shine and reach
the success of network marketing.
In this article I'm going to break down the success of network
marketing into 3 steps, and while I won't necessarily say they
are "easy", I do know they are effective. The truth is
anyone can become a successful network marketer, but first you
must become a Leader, and you have to set your own path.
But before I get into the content, if you're looking to START

Tough Successful Network Marketer Step #1: You Must
Become a Person of Value & Provide Value Other Than
Your Network Marketing Company
Why do I say this is a tough but rewarding process? Once you
start providing real value, You Immediately Have to Grow!
You can't lazily just send affiliate links, No, you yourself
have to learn and you have to try some things out.
There are many ways you can provide value outside of just your
network marketing company, but before we get into that, why is
this step so vital to your success?
Think of it like this... In your network marketing company
there are thousands if not hundreds of thousands of affiliates
who all have the same product you do, and you're not just
competing with your company, there are thousands of networking
companies available to choose from. No one likes the
"Hey Bro" message on Facebook to your friend from High School
you haven't spoken to in years. People don't like to be
"tricked" into learning about your mlm, and the many network
marketers before you have ruined this for you already.
No, instead become a person of value so you can build a
Personal Brand.
When you have your own value, story, and product assets, you
eliminate competition because no one else can be you!
Just like Master P the rapper has his record Label "No Limit
Records", inside of His personal brand He has other things
like cereal and even information products and coaching!
Your MLM Company is like "No Limit Records". It may be a
staple of your brand, but it is not your brand in
entirety. Your personal struggles, successes, and things
you've learned along the way become your biggest asset to your
personal brand because the reason a brand is so powerful is
because of trust. Your prospects learn to trust you,
through the content you provide and then it is no longer about
buying an mlm product, is about
buying from
"Stacey, the stay at home Mom with three kids I met online".
The relationship you have with your customers is your biggest
asset to becoming a successful network marketer. Without
this, you don't have a business, just a garage full of
supplements and a bleeding check every month.
Tough Successful Network Marketer Step #2: Set Up A
"Retail First" Customer System Before You Build a Team
Why is this?
Simply put...
There are more customers for your mlm product than there are
people you can recruit. Now, this doesn't mean you have
to become a "health & wellness", "travel", or "Legal
Services" expert, no instead what you'll do is build your
personal brand around your passions, create your own product
(or license a product with PLR or MRR), and make sure your
main product that you own is intimately tied to the use of
your MLM product.
For example...
- You could build out a personal growth coaching program,
and in that program you recommend using your MLM's health
product as a way for your customers to reach their full
potential. You could blend in the benefits of your
companies product inside of your coaching sales letter and
make the terms of purchase they have to buy both products
at the time of enrollment.
- Or you could build out a marketing training course and
inside the course you could have information about setting
up your LLC & writing legally compliant marketing
pages. This is where you could embed the sale of
your legal services as the "Easy & Cheaper" way to get
this done without stressing out over a lawyer.
- Or finally, you could create (or license) your own
travel planner that helps your customers plan and prepare
for their next big trip. You could easily recommend
they book travel with you directly or through your online
travel portal inside the planner and you can only
introduce your business to customers.
I could go on & on with this because this is REAL
MLM. Treating your mlm business like a real business and
this is when it get's really dope because not only are you
making commissions in your mlm company, but you're also
getting your own payments directly into your bank
account. Stick with me I'm going some place.
Because using that last example again, "Travel Planner ->
Upsell Book Travel", with your own travel planner product you
now have an asset that nobody else in your company has, then
like you'll learn in day #3, you can share or sell the resell
rights to your product to your team and now they'll have a
competitive advantage.
Tough Successful Network Marketer Step #3: Build A True
Team Training System That Teaches REAL Marketing
Strategies & Provide Resources To Your Team Other Than
Just Your Time.
This is when you begin to build true success of network
marketing and wealth!
Now that you have a custom customer getting system that
pays you multiple streams of income, you want to share this
system with your team so they can have an advantage!
You can become a successful network marketer with your
customer system alone, but if you build a duplicatible
system for your team.... Watch out.... Here comes the
wealth.
This system could be you simply sharing your "Funnel" with
your team and giving them resale rights to the product you
created or licensed to get customers.
And you want to teach your team REAL MARKETING! Don't
just give them a prospecting script and tell them to hit up
friends and family on Facebook, and definitely don't expand
this strategy to strangers!
No! Instead teach them how to generate their own leads online
with advertising and content marketing. I know this
isn't as easy as a plug in play script and video, but you're
giving your team a REAL, FIGHTING CHANCE when you equip them
with REAL marketing strategies.
Another thing about this is, if you don't teach your team REAL
marketing strategies, then you'll compete with the "Start A
Shopify Store" & "Sell Courses" ads. Your team will
see these ads and think, "If I start a Shopify store I don't
have to put my relationships at risk and I can do it all from
home..." Before you loose another team member to a thought
like that, make your mlm business MORE attractive by teaching
strategies that don't damage relationships and can be done
from the comfort of their home.
Success of Network Marketing can definitely be yours, &
you can become a successful network marketer even if you've
failed in the past (most successful network marketers failed
many times before making it).

Mathematically Certain You Will Succeed If You Find The
Cause of Success, Develop It To Sufficient Strength,
& Properly Implement It To Your Work. The
Cause of Success Is Confidence in Yourself &
Competence in Your Work, Or in Other Words Active Power
Consciousness"
Let me talk about active power consciousness for a minute...
The thoughts you think create feelings. Those feelings
are what dictate your actions. Your actions dictate your
results, and the results you get reinforce the thoughts you
have.
The way to change the results you're getting is not to focus
on the results, but first change your thinking. The
inner conversations you have with yourself everyday are what
creates your reality.
Here's proof!
Have you ever gotten excited about an opportunity and began to
think it was your golden ticket? You ran comp plan
numbers and examples and saw yourself rich. Then what
happened?
Doubt settled in...
You begin to tell yourself, "It was hard", & you made up
stories about, "How YOU Can't Do It". This caused a
feeling of discomfort and anxiety. Then because you felt
doubtful about your future, when you reached out to 2 people
and got rejected it amplified the pain. So, your brain
wanted to protect you. It painted this picture that
building a network marketing business is painful, and you
began to take less and less action, and you sabotaged your
success.
In other words your fear of failure became a self fulfilling
prophecy and you failed.
Your subconscious
mind is the living God inside of you, and although it is
all powerful, it will withhold its power from you when you
need it most, if you have a limiting belief towards your
business.
Your subconscious mind doesn't reject anything you tell
it. Right or Wrong, it will do its best to bring you
what you tell it.
Knowing this, it just makes sense to tell yourself the story
of what you most want to happen, not just repeating the story
of the negative that has happened.
This is the first step to active power consciousness.
You must convince your subconscious mind that you are capable
of becoming a successful network marketer.
How do you do this?
Autosuggesstion is a mental science technique that can help
you with this. You simply want to tell yourself a more
powerful story as if you're already successful. Then you
want to repeat this statement over and over. You might
have to repeat it 1,000 times over the next 3 months, but the
point is you want to "believe" and be "fully persuaded" that
you can become a successful network marketer.
If you linger in doubt as to if you can or can't then it will
not work for you. Just like you KNOW you can drive a
car, you have to KNOW you are a successful network
marketer. You don't need any evidence that you can, your
faith is the evidence. Circumstances will rearrange
themselves to your inner convictions and you will have the
evidence.
The success of network marketing you want can be yours, but
first you have to "play a trick on yourself" and believe
you're already successful. This will lead you to taking
inspired action and making your dream come true.
Now the second part of active power consciousness is
competence in a skill. When you know you can be a
successful network marketer, then you know how to be a
successful network marketer, it's mathematically certain
you'll reach the success of network marketing if you take
action towards your dream.
